Our own digital stream player (UpNp with Airplay & Bluetooth) with DSP (4 spdif out) in one tiny, machined from solid aluminum chassis.

UPDATE:

We now have the very first, machined from solid aluminum chassis, so just a few refinements and She's good to go. Add up to 4 sterio digital power amps. Each channel out is completely programable for filtering and more so you can build your own speakers, activate your existing speakers, have 4 zones or more .. fun! Of course it's also a digital strea player (plays up to 24- 192) and has Airplay. Not too bad :)

The electronics and the software are finished and it's sounding great.
Our very own digital streamer with outputs for up to 4 stereo digital amplifiers. Program these for room correction &/or why not fully activate your speakers (works with up to 4 way speakers)Here are some pics of where we used a 3D printer to check the 3D drawing is OK before the real chassis gets milled from a single nougat of aluminium. It's made to work with Maestro amps so  is tiny, just 176mm by 116mm by 42mm.

Works with any UpNp control software (great with both plugplayer and Kinsky), Airplay device or Bluetooth (we haven't tested bluetooth extensively). Stream your entire music collection from MP3 to high resolution 24 Bit. Multi room is not programmed yet but will be implemented (when we have had the time).

My first impression of LINN's NEW Akubarik's

Firstly I am all in favour of compact systems so for me it's a great advantage that they are fully active. Technical information you can get from the designer on the following video link http://vimeo.com/search?q=akubarik

I can pick a few points about the design. I don't like blue lights ... I'd hoped it would be smaller to fit more of my customers that have smaller rooms and apartments with neighbours. But actualythey look great, very tidy indeed. A good start and very interesting but how do they perform?

The obvious reference systems are Akurate 242 Aktiv with LINN Akurate amps or Klimax 350A's reference speakers.

Straight off the Akurate 242's can't compete on the bottom end. The Akubariks deliver controlled base no matter the volume. Whether the 3k array performs better than on aktive 242, I don't know but it's probably quite similar. It is very good. It's all very good and well balanced. At no point did I experience any issues with frequencies …

LINN have great new features with the new HDMI 2.0 board

With 4K content now available across a range of services, customers can now get great sound to match the high resolution of their screens.
From today every Klimax DSM, Klimax Exakt DSM, Akurate DSM, Akurate Exakt DSM and Majik DSM will ship with our new HDMI 2.0 board, offering full 4K support.

This HDMI board will also support HDR for better dynamic colour range, CEC for interoperability, and ARC to return audio from the television to the DSM.
