Wonderful multi-zone LINN instalation: ''exclusive apartment Stockholm'

The owner of this amazing apartment appreciates a great music system, loves music but also is very design conscious. The multi-zone system would not only have to perform at the highest level but fit in with some amazing design, art and living spaces. It would also have to deliver a lifestyle, a rather fantastic lifestyle.

As the apartment is often used for entertaining and some fantastic parties, multi room party-mode was essential. LINN fitted the criteria without any weak links. The main sitting area has a combination of reference electronics and beautiful Akurate speakers, which complement the space. The system can both be played hard at a party but also deliver the highest level of fine-listening performance.

The music system adds so much to the whole experience of the apartment. The transition through the day from lounge listening, background music reaching every space, inside and out in this apartment, perfectly synchronised party-mode with varying volumes in varying spaces to almost nightclub levels, enhanced with a great coloured lighting system really is something. 

The system was designed for the purpose, it was intentional and it delivers. The day after you sit on the sofa and relax listening to the highest studio quality music from reference LINN, in total contrast to the day before. The system ... and I mean the system as a whole with all it's zones improves the apartment.

The main room system is completely reference, latest specification LINN Klimax Range with contrasting finishes. Silver chassis source and control with black power amps. Very nice! Klimax DS, Klimax Kontrol &  Pair of Klimax Solo's. These are accompanied with a a pair of LINN Akurate 242's in probably my favourite finish, Black Ash. 

The space is vast with the upper floor having a pitched very high ceiling and completely open to the bottom floor some eight meters I'd say from the crown of the building to lower floor level. The bottom level is also vast with a dining area and open kitchen so we have a stylish but diskreet Majik system installed under the floating stairs with Majik DSM. Some inbuilt speakers in the kitchen area with Sekrit DSM fill out the sound over the kitchen area for larger gatherings. This area opens up to a large balcony area, also driven by Sekrit DSM and with outdoor speakers mounted under the sun-canopy.

Other areas include an office room with aktiv LINN IW10 in-wall speakers driven with Klimax renew and Majik amps. Brilliant speakers. The bathroom is so large and airy we didn't use waterproof speakers but rather went for Kustom 106 driven by Sekrit DSi. 

Some other treats are an AVA Maestro which amplifies a LED TV digital out to a sound bar in a bedroom. An amazing 5:1 system which is seamlessly hidden and automated, dropping down and popping out from the ceiling with projection lifting up and out from a custom made TV-table. 

You have to give it to the hidden multi-coloured LED lighting that transform the space from a very plush living space into what feels and looks like an exclusive night club. Brilliant!
