I love idol ,,, just brilliant ... How can you NOT like it?
Here are my reasons why I love idol!
- People take a chance, put themselves in the firing line, not just in front of a few friends or family but the whole Country ... They stand up on TV and sing! Seriously how amazing is that ...
Of course some people are shot down, mostly just by being told the truth but for the talented ones, they emerge from probably the most vulnerable position they will ever put themselves in to be totally reborn. Watching these moments blows my mind .... It's just wonderful ... I can't help but be happy!
- Then the music ... these are seriously talented people, some of the performances are amazing ... totally emotion filled. They are on TV, in front of an audience and they are desperate to do their best ... I can't begin to imagine what they are going through but sometimes with the better performances you feel it ... I find it hard to describe how happy I get just watching so for them ... well Nirvana when they get it right ...
- Then the comments ... Have you seen how happy Alexander Bard gets with a good performance ... he literally hops in his chair, Laila Bagge falls in love ... check her eyes and how Anders Bagges nails describing what's good about something ... the tone, the register, the pitch, the timing, the blick ... the performance. You can watch how their lives are effected by music.
So why am I rambling on about idol well because that's what it's all about ... what music can do for you, the emotions it can bring to the surface in everyone. Music is important, it can positively impact your life if you let it ... it can change your life!
It's all about feelings! Why do you think so many young people get through the stages ... simple they are so fresh, so talented, so unpolluted with 'what's good or bad' they feel there way through life, everything is new and interesting and of course it strolls through in their performances. Susan Boyle is by no means young but perhaps her sheltered life prior to 'Britain's got Talent'' is in some way similar ...
My favourite TV moment of all time was Susan Boyle! 76 Million hits on youtube say allot but not as much as the performance!
